Terms of Use

Astrobserve calculates Vedic birth charts and shows what classical texts say about them. Use it for study and reflection, not as the basis for decisions about health, money, law or marriage.

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Purwaj Tiwari, who runs Astrobserve (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them, to the Privacy Policy and to the Astrology Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be 18 or over.

2. What the service is

Astrobserve computes planetary positions, dashas, transits, strengths and compatibility from the birth details you enter, and matches them against rules from classical astrological texts and their translations. It is provided free of charge. We may change, add or remove features, and may stop the service, at any time.

3. Not advice

Nothing on Astrobserve is medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and nothing is a prediction we guarantee. The Astrology Disclaimer explains this in full and forms part of these terms.

4. Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for what is done through it on Astrobserve. You may stop using Astrobserve at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Birth details of other people

Enter, save or share another person’s birth details only with their permission, and do not use Astrobserve to harass, shame or make decisions about anyone.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• copy, scrape or bulk-download the rules, readings or texts shown in the app, or use automated means to do so;
• try to get around sign-in, rate limits or other protections, or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission;
• use share links to host content other than calendars made in the app;
• use the service unlawfully, or in a way that harms it or other users.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

7. Content and ownership

The site, its software and its design belong to us. Your saved charts and feedback remain yours; you give us permission to store and process them to run the service.

Readings quote or paraphrase classical works (among them Mantreswara’s Phaladeepika and the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra) and modern translations and commentaries, whose copyright belongs to their authors and publishers. They are shown to you for personal study only. Do not republish them.

8. Accuracy and availability

We work to make the calculations correct and check them against published references, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Results depend on the birth details you enter: a birth time that is off by minutes can change the ascendant, houses and dasha dates.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Astrobserve or your reliance on anything it shows, including decisions you make based on a reading. Where the law does not allow this exclusion, our total liability is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
